Open up your MCA-I season with a fascinating look at WisconsinEye, a
statewide multimedia public affairs network here in Madison. They're mission
is to present an independent, statewide view of civic life and public policy
discussion, beginning with nonpartisan, gavel-to-gavel coverage of state
government in Madison, both on the air and on the Internet.  Call them the
C-SPAN of local politics.

We'll tour their digital studio facilities, feature a system that remote
controls 70 cameras (seventy cameras, people) throughout the state Capitol
building.  We'll see how they store their vast repository of gavel-to-gavel
coverage of our legislature, public affairs programs and interviews, as well
as how they cleverly use the web as a pass-through feed of their channel, as
well as a live feed of congressional and assembly coverage.  Weather
willing, we'll also take a quick walk to the Capitol to check out their
installation.

WisconsinEye is forging new ground in bringing transparency to our political
process.  Come for an insider tour of this hidden gem!

Cost for Non-Members is $10
